For this special edition of The Pirate Academy taking place at the Bergen Architecture School, we organize a single evening event, bringing into focus the question of Conviviality. The event will include performances, presentations and participatory projects in and around BAS, activating a number of structures built in collaboration, directly based on students’ needs and desires. One of these is the STUDIO(studio) project, made by students from BAS and KMD together. Another is the Sauna that will be heated up for the occasion.
We’ll bake bread, make flutes, share a table and food together, enjoy the ambience of the communal spaces, and engage with a range of listening experiences – bringing into play a time and space of hospitality as the welcoming of alterity.
Please join us for this celebratory, end of the year gathering! Bring something tasty to go with the freshly baked bread. And don’t forget a towel and a swimming suit if you like to join the sauna, and warm clothes for spending time in the total darkness afterwards!
